Juicing Recipes

These juices are my favorites not only because they taste great, but because they help with blood clotting, are rich in calcium, B vitamins, and immune-boosting vitamin C. Green juices are generally lower in sugar as they are made using mostly vegetables. Here’s seven easy to fix recipes for each day of the week:

Green Mean Juicing Machine
Ingredients
1 Bunch Kale
4 Stalks of Celery
1 Cucumber
2 Granny Smith Apples
1/2 a Lemon
Ginger Root to taste
Directions
Clean and Rinse all produce
Juice and serve over ice

Popeye Power
Ingredients
1 Fennel Bulb
1 Cucumber
3 Celery Stalks
3 Cups Spinach
Directions
Wash all produce well
Juice and pour over ice

The Big Kahuna Juice
Ingredients
1 medium cucumber
3 celery stalks
1 1/2 small to medium pears
3 handfuls kale
Directions
Rinse all ingredients
Add ingredients through juicer
Serve and enjoy!

Sunset Blend Juice
Ingredients
1 large Sweet Potato
1 medium Carrot
1 Red Bell Pepper
2 large Red Beets
2 Golden Delicious Apples
1 Orange, optional
Directions
Wash all produce well
Juice and pour over ice

Winter Wonderland Juice
Ingredients
1 fennel bulb with fronds
2 Bartlett pears
1″ piece of ginger
Directions
Wash all produce well
Pass all ingredients through juicer and serve. Enjoy!

The Whole Kitchen Sink
2 Golden Delicious or Royal Gala apples
A small chunk of carrot
½ stick celery
1 large handful of mixed green leaves – watercress, kale, parsley, spinach and whatever other green leafy vegetables that are available
1 inch slice of cucumber
½ inch chunk of broccoli stem
1 small handful of alfalfa sprouts (found in any good health shop)
¼ inch slice of unpeeled raw beetroot
¼ inch slice courgette (zucchini)
1 small piece of lemon – preferably, wax-free lemon with rind
¼ inch slice of ginger
1 ice cube
Directions
Wash all produce
Juice and pour over ice

Ingredients
1 Large Red Pepper
1 Pound Carrots
1/2 Stalk Celery
Directions
Wash all produce well
Juice and pour over ice
